Pace Industries, Fayetteville, Ark., has acquired Del Mar Industries Inc. zinc die casting business, which was part of the company’s Del Mar Die Casting Business in Gardena, Calif. The acquisition is effective immediately.
“Now more than ever, companies are looking for ways to efficiently grow business,” said Scott Bull, CEO, Pace Industries, in a press release. “This acquisition not only helps us achieve that goal but strengthens our position and expands our capabilities in the zinc die casting sector.”

The Del Mar zinc die casting business joins Pace Industries’ other zinc die casting operations in St. Paul, Minn., North Billerica, Mass., and Harrison, Ark.

The transaction allows Del Mar Industries to channel all of its resources into its magnesium and aluminum operations. Del Mar will assist its zinc customer base through the transition.

“We view this as a positive move for each of our companies,” said Doug Taylor, president and CEO of Del Mar Industries, in the press release.

Pace Industries, formerly known as Leggett & Platt Aluminum Group houses 14 manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Mexico, including nine diecasting divisions, three tool and die shops and two finishing and painting facilities, and employs more than 2,700.

Del Mar Industries provides aluminum die castings through its Los Angeles Die Casting Business and zinc and magnesium diecastings through its Del Mar Die Casting Business.
