Kennametal (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) and Mazak (Florence, Kentucky) will showcase the latest developments in multi-tasking machine tools and cutting tools for aerospace industry manufacturers. The event is scheduled for May 25-26 at Mazak’s Northeast Regional Technology Center in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, home of leading aerospace companies including Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky, Hamilton Sundstrand, General Electric and GKN Aerospace as well as scores of aerospace machine shops.
Multi-tasking machine tools on display include Mazak’s new Quick Turn SMART line, which is designed for high-accuracy aluminum machining with enough rigidity for heavy-duty steel machining. Other highlights include the Integrex 2004S featuring Kennametal KM quick-change tooling, the VCN 510C VMC with pallet changer and the E-420HST horizontal, multi-tasking machining center. Demonstrations will detail milling, turning and holemaking technology as well as the latest cutting tool geometries, coatings and material advances for achieving higher productivity in titanium, nickel alloys and other advanced work materials.
