The emphasis is on large capacity machines for Dugard, on stand 5240, at MACH 2010. The You Ji vertical turning centre range, of which Dugard have sold over 60 models, is represented by the YV 1600ATC+C, complete with ATC, mill-drill, C-axis and twin rams.
The YV 1600ATC+C turning centre has a turning capacity of 1,800 mm diameter by 1,200 mm high with an 8,000 kg table, loading with a ram stroke of 900 mm and a cross-rail elevation of 800 mm. The turning centre range includes machines with up to an 8,000 mm diameter capacity.
You Ji machines, possibly one of the world's largest manufacturers of vertical lathes, have been sold into every leading bearing manufacturer, world-wide, and is one of the UK's biggest selling ranges of vertical lathes.
Also on the stand in June will be the Eagle FBL 530 large capacity slant bed CNC lathe for the large diameter machining of exotic materials. The FBL has a 1,000 rpm spindle speed, 1,000 mm swing and 3,000 mm turning length, with other models available of 2,000 mm or 4,000 mm turning length, and a Fanuc 0i TD control.
The third in the four machine line up at MACH 2010 will be the Hedelius RS 505 from Germany. This is a twin table 3 and 5-axis machine, with a 12,000 rpm motor spindle and features, as standard, a fixed work table and a rotary swivel table. The concept of this machine allows for machining of components on either table or the ability to bridge across both tables with components up to 1,000 mm long.
The fourth machine on show is the VMC Eagle ECO-1000, with respective travels in X, Y and Z of 1,000 mm, 600 mm and 570 mm, a 20 tool ATC and 8,000 rpm spindle.
